Cheat Mode.
Enter the following codes during game play to activate the corresponding cheat function. Note: Enabling cheat mode will reset your score to 0 unless a new game is started or when the frame rate is displayed.

almighty - Invulnerability.

GODZILLA - Makes it easier to destroy robots by running into them.
FRAMETIME - Displays frames per second.
GABBAGABBAHEY - All but 1% of shields and energy are lost.
ZINGERMANS - All but 1% of shields and energy are lost.
MOTHERLODE - All but 1% of shields and energy are lost.
EATANGELOS - All but 1% of shields and energy are lost.

Descent 2 Hints.
Always match speed with your target if your target is a fighter. Nothing damages your fighter more than flying into your target.
Before each mission, load up on missiles with seeker heads. It's a lot easier to take down enemy fighters with missiles that follow the target.
Make sure to use your wingmen properly; this can make the difference between success and failure in a mission.
